Attend monthly Community of Interbeing Mindfulness Sangha and have received “The Five Mindfulness Trainings

I believe life is for living in the now and we will benefit by nourishing ourselves to be “human beings” rather than frantic “human doings”. I have been coaching and providing workshops centred around health and wellbeing since 2003. I undertook an 8 week MBSR programme with Clear Mind Institute in October 2012 and undertook their Level I and Level II teacher training. I offer group classes, 1:1 coaching/tuition as well as bespoke fun health and wellbeing workshops for individuals and organisations.

I mainly deliver in Kent or London but have been known to travel if the need arises. I am also currently studying with the British Wheel of Yoga on their BWY Diploma for Teaching Yoga. I regularly attend my local Community of Interbeing sangha once a month where I also undertook the “Five Mindfulness Trainings”. I value the opportunity to attend silent retreats of 3-5 days in length to allow me to deepen my practice. After leaving a corporate Personnel & Training life in the City of London to set up my own training & coaching business “Another Journey Begins” in 2003 I have been passionate about people slowing down, reprioritising their health and wellbeing to live each day to its fullest. I also work with individuals within organisations who have recently been promoted to Supervisor/Manager. With my experience of major life traumatic events, I am willing to share my learnings and trainings to allow others to find their inner courage and compassion. I run personal development workshops, courses as well as 1:1 coaching for anyone with a passion to wake up to their true potential. I am adding Mindful Yoga classes to my portfolio of offerings in 2017 along with 1:1 tuition. My passion for health and wellbeing led me to set up and host an internet radio show called “Who Cares Wins” which focussed on raising awareness on how we as individuals can look after our own and other’s health and wellbeing to the benefit of us all.

Mindfulness cultivates kindness to ourselves and others and allows us to find courage and strength to react or respond to life’s events differently. I have found I’m more focussed, energised and calmer within my work and meeting life pressures.

What is the importance of professional guidelines such as the UK Network’s Good practice Guidelines to you and your teaching?

I value professional guidelines as they ensure we all commit to providing a professional, consistent and up to date service. As teachers, we need to ensure we “walk our talk”. Mindfulness is something you need to experience and is very different to standard “chalk and talk” historic training methods. Having good practice guidelines allows teachers to be proud to link to a set of ethics/morals for teaching. I believe it also protects the participants who therefore know they are getting a consistent level of teaching, support and guidance.
