I am registered with the UK Network for Mindfulness Teachers and a CMI Teacher Trainer delivering Level 1, BWY Mindfulness Modules & CMI Conversion Course. I run MBSR, Frantic World, .b Foundation & .b courses in schools and non-clinical settings.

Part of the on-going training in mindfulness with CMI is to commit to CPD workshops and annual silent retreats.  As well as Gaia House retreats, I attend the summer school at Oxford Mindfulness Centre with Mark Williams & Chris Cullen.    Mindfulness in Schools Project hold an annual Education Conference in London which enhances community in Education and I continue to learn and grow through our community in CMI.

Previous to CMI training, I qualified as a BWY Yoga Teacher and Cranio-Sacral Therapist with Upledger UK.  All have a basis in deep listening to the experience via the body.   I took additional training with CPCAB and received certification in Counselling Skills.

Mindfulness wakes us up to what is unfolding in these constantly changing moments called life. Through practice, we learn to respond to an experience in a wiser and more caring way. As our awareness grows, we are able to care for ourselves when we feel tender and be with others in times of need.  The world is rapidly changing and as I type this I’m sensing the mindfulness qualities of compassion, clarity and agency. This is the work of the heart and if we listen deeply and take care of this moment we can move into the next moment feeling heart-full, clear minded and open to possibilities.

What is the importance of professional guidelines such as the UK Network’s Good practice Guidelines to you and your teaching?

Listed on the UK Network’s Register, I feel the guidelines are a key foundation for all mindfulness teachers.  CMI training places strong importance on the guidelines so that ethics are honoured and respected.
